Agent D. Hendricks is an FBI agent and the leader of Cras Est Nostrum. He is the primary antagonist of season one of National Treasure: Edge of History. He is portrayed by Armando Riesco.

Biography[]

Hendricks was a member of the Cras Est Nostrum and became Salazar at some point in the past.

In 2001 Hendricks was already the Salazar, and was after the Montezuma's Treasure. Rafael Rios and Sebastian worked for him, but when Rafael betrayed them, Hendricks sent Sebastian to kill Rafael and retrieve the Aztec Relic.[1] Hendricks had followed them, and after the house had caught fire he checked for the relic, but only found Sebastian trapped under the rubble. Hendricks shot and killed Sebastian, despite his pleas for help.[2]

In 2005, Agent Hendricks was a young FBI agent in Washington, D.C., who was aware of the tip that Benjamin Franklin Gates and Riley Poole gave about the possible theft of Declaration of Independence. After the Declaration was stolen, he mentioned that tip to his superior Peter Sadusky. He later took part in the investigation and followed Ben Gates trail.[3]

In 2007 Agent Hendricks sees Ben Gates name in the newspaper, and brings that info to Peter Sadusky, who gets suspicious of the man Mitch Wilkinson who came forward with the missing page of John Wilkes Booth's Diary and asks Hendricks to investigate.[4]

In 2022, Agent Hendricks now works for the Baton Rouge branch of the FBI. Hendricks is still secretly Salazar and keeps track of the treasures.[5] After Jesusita Valenzuela visited Peter Sadusky, Hendricks also pays him a visit and kills Sadusky with English Yew in his tea.[2] Agent Ross is a new eager agent, Hendricks tries to calm her enthusiasm a bit and sends her to question walk-ins. When Agent Ross starts investigating Sadusky's death, Hendricks at first tries to make her stop.[5], but when she still secretly investigated it, Hendricks plays the role of a good boss and allows her to continue.[6] A fake recording of Jess Valenzuela and Sadusky is given to Agent Ross to implicate Jess in Peter's murder, and Hendricks wants a quick arrest[7] When Agent Ross tracked Jess to Mexico, Hendricks put in the extradition request to get her back to America.[8]

Hendricks wanted to stay close to Agent Ross after the shootout in Peter Sadusky's Home, as she was certain that Jess was innocent and Billie Pearce was behind it. They went to Billie's private plane together to investigate. It was there Agent Ross put the pieces together and realized it was Hendricks who killed Peter Sadusky. Ross had Hendricks handcuff himself to a railing while she went after Billie. Hendricks managed to get free and took the Hernán Cortés Sword and followed Ross to Devil's Swamp. There he surprised Agent Ross from behind and stabbed her with the sword.[2] Leaving Ross for dead, Hendricks joined Billie in final treasure hunt. When Kacey Hasler was injured, and Hendricks saw her as a liability, he shot her. This made Billie angry, as she realized that Rafael had told her the truth, that is was Hendricks that had killed her brother. Billie then shot and killed Hendricks.[9]
