The Aztec Relic was in Cozumel after the attack on Aztec empire by Hernán Cortés in 1519. In 1524 the relic was given to Malinche when she was en route to Honduras. Malinche brought the relic to Coyoacán in 1526, and then took it to Tetzcoco, where it stayed with the Daughters of Plumed Serpent after her death in 1529. In 1545 the Aztec Relic was moved to Mexico City. 1826 the hiding place was selected as Metropolitan Cathedral.[1]

In 2001, Rafael Rios has discovered the location of the Aztec Relic, and takes it from the church. He gives the relic to his wife Manuela Valenzuela, who escapes Mexico with her daughter Jess Valenzuela to United States. The relic is then given to Peter Sadusky who hides it in the King's Arms Lodge in Baton Rouge[2]

In 2022, Sadusky noticing the Daughters of Plumed Serpent necklace of Jess Valenzuela, and feels the relic would be safe with her. So he gives her Sadusky Family Photo as a clue. Jess follows the clues to the masonic lodge and finds the Aztec relic hidden inside a globe. Jess realizes the relic is a puzzle box and solves it, revealing part of the map, which she and her friend take pictures of before exchanging the relic for Oren Bradley's safety. The Aztec relic is then in possession of Billie Pearce who also gets it open and sees the map.[2]

Later Jess manages to reacquire the Aztec relic from Billie in San Antonio when they were looking for the Incan Relic.[3]
