Billie Pearce is a black-market antiquities dealer in National Treasure: Edge of History.
Biography[]
Billie and Sebastian's parents were killed in IRA attack in London while Christmas shopping when she was ten years old.[1]
Billie Pearce has bought a house in Madrid, Spain just for the treasure hid inside its walls. She seeks an obsidian Aztec Relic which she hoped would be there.[2]
On her private plane she gets a notification that someone is at Peter Sadusky's house. she is curious why that person was there for ten minutes. She sends Kacey and Nate to Baton Rouge to find a letter Peter was talking about. While Billie admires the sword of Hernán Cortés, they report back that they don't have the letter, and the girl didn't have it either. Billie thinks the girl lied and sends them to ransack her apartment.[2]
Billie decides to lure Oren Bradley into a trap with the sneakers. She then contacts Jess Valenzuela and threatens Oren's life to get the Aztec Relic she found.[2]
When Oren starts to suspect something, Kacey knocks him down and Billie now takes him hostage. Now Jess agrees to trade the relic for Oren, but in a crowded place like the USS Kidd gift shop. Billie agrees to those terms.[3]
At the gift shop, Billie approaches Jess, but they are interrupted by the Clerk. Jess eventually gives her the relic, but just as Billie is about to leave the store, an alarm goes off, Billie hand off the relic to Nate who was passing by, and uses her status and a lack of purse to convince to arriving MP to let her go.[3]
Back at her private jet, Billie places the Aztec Relic into a scanner, which reveals a keychain inside the box.[3]
Having learned that the box is a puzzle box, Billie lets Nate to open it. Once the Aztec relic has been opened, Billie brings out the second relic for Nate to work on. Now having two-thirds of the map, they piece it together as much as the can. Billie recognizes Iztaccihuatl, which was marked with a jaguar head symbolizing a sacred place.[4]
Billie flies to Iztaccihuatl and manages to find the caves quite fast. inside there are carvings from three cultures, Incan, Aztec, and Mayan, confirming that the Daughters of Plumed Serpent were there. But Billie notices that Mictlan and Xibalba are mentioned, making her suspicious of a trap. Right after Nate falls to his death, and Billie retreats from the caves.[4]
On a flight back Billie and Kacey mourn Nate. Billie then receives a message with Elvis Presley's clue.[4]
Billie visits the board of Cras Est Nostrum in New York, they want her off the hunt, but she ensures her commitment, and reveals the Elvis clue. On her way out however a board member attempts to acquire the relics for himself. Kacey handles his muscle.[5]
Billie and her crew attempt to decode the Elvis clue. As Dario's algorithms doesn't come up with a credible answer, Billie Thinks the Twin-tongued serpent is Malinche. Thinking there might be a lost Malinche's codex, she goes to Cayman Islands' black market. She offers Caligula's lost mosaic for exchange of Malinche's codex. The Auctioneer assures her that Malinche's codex doesn't exists, but after Billie persists, he reveals a Cortés journal that has Malinche's writing in it.[6]
Billie takes the Cortés Journal to an expert in University of Mexico City to get it translated. Dr. Torres proves the journal fake however, as the writing style does not match Cortés' handwriting. Billie is disappointed and throws the journal in the trash.[6]
When Dario reveals that Jess and her friends have found the bug they planted on Oren by showing and old video of Oren's, Billie recognizes the necklace Jess is wearing. When Kacey checks on what Jess and the group is up to they piece together that they want to take part in the Governor's Ball. Knowing that Meriwether Lewis' Journals are kept at Governor's Mansion, Billie connects the dots and realizes the clue pointed towards Sacagawea.[6]
Billie arrives at the ball and sees Jess running, she uses the opportunity to offer her a ride to escape the police.[6]
