Smith was a series regular on Ed Burns’s TNT period NYC cop drama Public Morals, but she is perhaps best known for her captivating work as the character of Natalie on Parenthood. Smith’s other notable recurring roles include AppleTV+’s Are you Sleeping opposite Octavia Spencer, SHOWTIME’s White Famous, as well as the comedies I’m Sorry and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. In addition, Smith had a role in the 2019 feature film El Tonto opposite Charlie Day and Kate Beckinsale, and she starred in 2018’s NETFLIX feature Step Sisters as well. Moreover, Smith was also a part of director Billy Ray’s The Secret in Their Eyes, playing opposite Chiwetel Ejiofor.
