The Meerschaum Pipe was found on the Charlotte. It is the first clue to the location of the Templar Treasure. The stem of the pipe revealed a riddle when covered in an ink like liquid and rolled out on paper. Ben Gates dissevered the riddle and came to the realization that the next clue is on the Declaration of Independence. The pipe is later revealed to be the key that opens the treasure room.
