In 2001, Rafael Rios found one of the map cubes of the Montezuma's Treasure in a church. Not wanting to give the clue away, he returned home and forced his wife to leave with their child, as Salazar was now after him. The house caught fire when the Salazar's men attacked Rafael, and Rafael is now presumed dead.
